The scope of works involved on this site which dates to the 1100s was temporary propping, adjustment of existing propping, vegetation removal to wall top, recording, dismantling, rebuilding, repointing, grouting, and flaunching sections of North, East and South Walls. A major element of the work was the removal of a large embedded tree and roots to the South East corner. This involved the recording and dismantling of adjacent wall sections to isolate the tree, remove the tree and to reinstate the masonry along with rebuilding a new corner where the tree had once stood.
